So You Want to Write a Book?

It took me eight years to get published.

I wish I had a Cinderella story of how I wrote some genius, best-selling book that immediately landed a book deal and was wildly successful. As writers and even agents, I feel like this is the dream we all hold on to a little bit. There’s a thrill of discovering the next great book or creating something that every kid wants a copy of.

However, this is just not the reality. There are so so many people out there creating and writing. Plus, the publishing industry is changing every single year. What kind of hope is there for up-and-coming writers? Here are my tips about breaking into writing for the first time.
